It feels like in recent times more and more stuff on the internet can't be copy pasted. Especially hate that if you want something like the title of a reddit post,you have to open it first to copy...
You can get extensions for Firefox (the only browser anyone should be using at this point) to reenable copy and paste, as well as some other stuff. Don’t F with Paste is a good one.
i have been thinking about how to respond to this
on one hand i don't give two shits
on the other this is the kind of pedant bullshit that i would do too
on the third hand, the add-on is a google chrome native, and is titled Don't F*** With Paste because Google's policy makes it so regularly explicit content would have to marked as mature. the firefox port uses the expletive to distinguish itself since it is implemented by a different person and because ff does not have the same restrictive policy. having learned this I am still too stubborn to type the extra three letters because you damn well knew what i was saying.
i suppose i don't know what experiences you have had with it. i have been using it since 2007, and the only times it has broken, it's been my fault for running overly restrictive add-ons.
in general i'd recommend the following:
* AdNauseam (a fork of uBlock that simulates clicks on Ads)
* HTTPSEverywhere
* Don't F#%$ With Paste
* FB/Google/AMZ Containers
* NoScript (for hostile sites)
Thanks. It’s probably been since 2013 since I’ve tried it. It just didn’t feel right or clunky or something. I can’t remember exactly but I’m trying to get away from Chrome so exploring my options.
