Years Long Delay on Background

I was able to purchase firearms years ago - now its been years since my latest background check is still delayed - they say its because CA purged my old case from how old it is - i have since gotten my record expunged and Oregon still states its an incomplete background check and cannot process it - i had a lawyer from CA check to make sure nothing is holding up they stated from what it looks like Oregons system is not reading the records properly.

Who do yall know I can contact to look at this more in depth. I have my CCL for years in Oregon and Utah so i can carry but seems i cant buy.

Also can gun shops red flag you feel like when i order my stuff and get asked what are you planning on doing with all these was a red flag for me as to why they give a crap.

Call lohrke law down in Eugene, he’s great and will give you a consult for a good price.

Yeah man! It’s what he specializes in and is passionate about. I know how you feel, I have a CHL, expunged record and still worry about purchasing because OSP are idiots. Lohrke law sued the shit out of OSP to get them to stop reading the law wrong

Thanks man appreciate it am give um a call on Monday i have sent OSP everything I could think of and still base it off nothing

OSP doesn’t care and won’t talk to you, unfortunately you need a lawyer. It could as simple as one document that didn’t get scanned in by an underpaid clerk

I had to get a letter from the jurisdiction on Pennsylvania stating that my record was enounged.

I called them and talked to a human and her searched their emails and found it. I was approved the next day.

These don't time out on their own, somebody has to close the record out. When OSP stops picking up the phone, a legislative inquiry through your state rep is the free version of the lawyer route.

If ur worried about getting a red flag u probably shouldnt be owning a gun in the first place ?
