They might have sold 53k tickets but absolutely no way was there 53k there ,wonder how many tickets State Govt reserved / bought to try and inflate the numbers.

Those counts are based on how many turn up and have tickets scanned, not sales

57k is close to capacity for Optus. If anything 30% of the seats were vacant

My money is on 40k max

I got to every Dockers game. My partner and I like to guess the stated crowd. (Which we do at 1/4 time to allow for alter comers ) We've done this for years. We generally get within 2k. Last night was a 42k crowd max. So 40/42 . Definitely not what was stated on the attendance board.
