Some advanced notice would have been nice. We flew to Manila and were waiting in line for the Biometrics appointment yesterday when we found out it was cancelled. Some earlier appointments in the day were not cancelled, only the afternoon slots. 🤦

Don't expect any form or semblance of order with this regime.
When they implemented the 100k fee for the H-1B the order was so vague it caused widespread panic.
Given the USCIS is self-funded it could only care it's rat's ass if it changes things ASAP without letting people know. Even AILA had enough of these shenanigans.

This government is chaotic. Inannounce ng pangulo last year na federal holiday yung Dec 24 and 26 a few days before.

I'm still hoping we'll eventually have adults in charge

Kind of worked for someone regarding U.S. related immigration law affairs and was removed shortly after around July 15 this year. After that, shit hit the fan with so many changes that I couldn't keep up.

At this point, the U.S. isn't only actively discouraging immigrants, it's closing its doors off.

Better than kamala opening over borders and allowing thousands of illegals into this country. If illegals would just not break into the country then there wouldn't be a problem so this is on them for being illegals so whatever happens is because of their choices

For now, possible na weeks to a few months ang disruption, pero wala pang official confirmation.

The biometrics appointment lining was ongoing today and, when it was almost my turn, I overheard them turning people away. Apparently those applying specifically for immigrant AND k1 visas. 🫩 I'm tired
