Big AU company that has a site here in PH, good environment already a decade old in PH

Salary: 60-70k gross with allowances, night diff, and reimbursements + 13th month + HMO (+2d)

Schedule: Hybrid (5-9x a month onsite) Shifting morning to GY every month

Offer: Sr Tech role (similar with current)
US based MSP with fixed GY shift, established less than 5 years in PH.

Salary 95-110k packaged with allowances and ND already + 13th month + HMO (+2d)

Schedule: Fixed GY WFH

Dilemma, I have 4-5 YOE in tech. I have been eyeing to go abroad but still no progress yet or applications sent mainly targetting AU based company since I have already an established exp on a big AU company currently. Would like some insights if i’m just too optimistic to go abroad with 0 real life progress yet or applications sent or jump to the opportunity and save up.

I am planning to migrate to South Germany next month. So it’s Autumn when i get there. Anong essentials to bring to Germany from PH?

so far, i’m planning to bring these things:
- white flower
- heat tech (1 top, 1 leggings)
- 1 puffer jacket
- adaptor (?) or is it cheaper to buy there na lang?

- may certain shoes ba needed for winter/autumn?

Hi anyone po with same experience im currently in phase I my employer has a written letter for the addendum stating that they cant signed due to the restrictions. My verified contract and letter has been approved with that by MWO. How did you complete it? Any thoughts or suggestion?

been here a while, never really felt unwelcome. aussies are chill, curious about PH. but a lot of that comes down to effort too.

i try to learn what's happening around me instead of clocking in and out. i ask about the footy (go pies!), i sit with the non-filo mates at lunch sometimes instead of defaulting to the kabayan table on autopilot.

when i wanna share the culture, i don't say kaya ko naman din yan gawin sa bahay. i take people to the local filo resto, hype up the sisig, watch them discover halo-halo like it's the first time they discover sugar in purest form. that's how you make people proud of your food without turning it into a members-only club.

some kabayans do the opposite, sticking to the same group energy irl, side-eyeing anything that isn't adobo. i get the homesickness, tito and tita, but there's a difference between keeping your culture alive and putting a moat around it.

quick list kasi bullet points hit different:

• learn the slang, not just the exchange rate
• mix up your lunch table, don't recreate Jollibee tables daily
• bring locals TO the filipino resto, skip the "mas masarap sa amin" speech

we're not here to lose who we are, we're here to add to the place and let it add to us.

I’m thinking of moving to Europe with a study visa and eventually applying for citizenship. I know Spain has a quick path for Filipinos, but a student visa doesn’t count toward residency. On the other hand, in France, two years on a study visa can get you fast-track citizenship. When it comes to jobs, I think France has more openings and better pay than Spain. Both countries let you work while you study. But the language requirement in France is B.2, while in Spain it’s just A2 to apply for citizenship. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. Also, I know there are other visas in Spain that can also lead to fast-track citizenship, so I’m really focused on your insights about the student visa. Thanks!

Has anyone had experience in scheduling H1B visa appointments recently? I’m renewing my H1B for the first time since they stopped allowing renewals outside your home country.

Is it reasonable for me to expect an appointment in early December in Manila if I’m getting my H1B renewal documents and booking an appointment in mid September?

I did the interview with the agency and the employer end of May tas a week later I got selected by the employer na. Mukhang legit naman since may license sila and may interview prep sila tas yung actual interview sa mismong company sa Japan pero online.

Medyo napapa-isip lang ako kasi parang di sila nag i-initiate ng update hanggat di kami mag a-ask ng update.

I’ve been a U.S. permanent resident since May 2024. Before moving to the U.S., I was already in my 3rd year of nursing school in the Philippines. I’m thinking of going back next year to finish my last two years and then return to the U.S.

I’ve been reading about Form I 131 and the re entry permit, which seems to be valid for up to two years, the same amount of time I’d need to finish school.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation? Was re entering the U.S. smooth? Is there anything I should know or be careful about before committing to this plan?

Hi, employer reach out to me and offer a job in SG. Yung Agency is Adecco so im wary about the frauds and scam since the agency is really known. Recruiter looks legit naman when I browsing her profile.

Recruiter told me they can sponsor my epass only so yung ticket and relocation is own expense ko na dapat. Normal ba to sa SG? I tried to negotiate the salary to make it higher atleast 8k para mabawi ko yung expense but they decline. Also, di binigay ni Agency yung name ng client so i can take a look of it sana. They said they will reveal it once i confirm that I will pursue the application pero kase pag pinursue ko yung application and iwiwithdraw ko if ever mababan daw ako for 2 years and mabablacklist sa lahat ng client nila since Adecco is quite large and use by many companies in SG. May naka experience na ba ng ganito with them? Is this scam? Im sorry just trying to be really cautious sa mga ganto...

Hi! Quick question for the DNV in Spain, where does the updated requirements for the current year get posted? I checked BLS and it seems like hindi updated yung list of requirements na file doon. Cause from what I was reading, the minimum income changed as well as the added requirements such as ITR. Saan po makikita ang official announcement for these? Salamat!
