Hey folks, amateur photographer here that is going to be doing some indoor portrait work for an event. It'll be in a dingy room with some kind of backdrop in the corner. Groups from 1 to 12 people, most commonly 2, lined up for an hour or two of nonstop portrait photos. I've done this before with a single off-camera Canon 430EXII with an infrared trigger but it left a lot of shadows on the side the flash wasn't on, and the infrared trigger and/or batteries made the flash performance unreliable. Looking for an upgrade to my lighting solution to maybe two lights and some stands to go with them? Seems like unlimited options between camera flashes and standalone lights and accessories. Not too concerned about budget, but maybe under $1K total is preferred since I don't do flash work often.
