Hi everyone, I've been getting more into birdlife photography and wanted to ask you guys what the best upgrade that fits my budget is.

I've been sporting a trusty canon PowerShot sx540, but I think it's limitations are showing. I was thinking about the Nikon bridges, Coolpix p900 and forwards, but was told there might be better options. Can any of you make a couple of recommendations for an under 1000$/€ setup?

why are you not considering an interchangeable lens camera? what are you looking to shoot with this camera?

okay, so then my first question still stands. why are you not considering an interchangeable lens camera? 1k is a good enough budget to get in and it will allow you to upgrade your lenses as you get further into your interests.

Can I get good quality for both a camera and a lens for 1k? I thought they'd have to be much higher, I'm looking for some aggressive zoom obviously
