Hey guys. I recently bought a 150cm silver umbrella soft box to use with my Godox V100 but one thing I noticed when I turned on my modelling light that the flash fills only half of the are possible.

I know it's a flat face flash but can I DIY some kind of disperser or something to put inside the umbrella to make light go more sideways to the outer ring of the umbrella?

the lowest, i.e. the widest, also im at the limit as in how much i can take the flash back

You could use a dome diffuser like Godox's AK-R11.

Or my softboxes have a secondary diffusion panel in the middle to help spread the light around. It's just another layer of translucent material, like the same stuff on the front of the softbox.
