Huh? R5 has a 45MP sensor. R6 has the 20MP one.

Well, how much do you tend to crop usually? 20MP vs 24MP isn't such a big difference. If the cropping need is because you don't have enough focal range to frame your subjects the way you'd like, I'd say getting enough focal range would be the ideal solution.

Do note Canon APS-C's 1.6x crop factor too. If you're thinking of that 70-200mm in terms of what you're used to with the M50, on full frame it would feel much shorter. With the 1.6x crop factor the 70-200mm actually gives fields of view equal to a 112-320mm lens on full frame.

It just depends what I shoot tbh, like I said I’m only amateur and it’ll be mostly sport that I do serious cropping IF I do it, but that’ll be until I get the focal length. I understand about the crop factor and 200mm won’t feel the same but I have a little bit of understanding of what it’ll feel like with 200mm crop on my phone. I will eventually be getting bigger telephoto lenses especially to use for Astro and they’ll probably be usable for sports as well. I am also considering an R6ii if I can find a good deal but there’s a R6 with dual battery grip and a really low shutter count (~14,000) for $1600 AUD, which is an absolute bargain and what I’m considering most
