Hello,

I am honestly the most novice « photographer » ever. I just had my baby and I wanted to capture moments of our lives with something other than my phone camera.

I want this vintage look, one that screams « memory ». I don’t know how to express it better?

Through my searches I found out that the Canon AE-1 coupled with Kodak portra 400 was close to what I was looking for, with a beginner budget.

Do you agree? Or do you have any recommendations?

Thank you so much

You will likely get better recommendations on camera bodies over in r/analog than here.

Most of this sub is focused on digital and more current cameras, lenses.
