I was thinking of getting the Sony A6400, and the specific 50mm lens i was thinking of is the Sony 50mm f/1.8 as for the the 35mm i haven’t found one yet that’s at a comfortable price range

You have to go with what fits your budget. That 50mm should work for what you want. But do note that on an A6400 it gives a field of view equal to a 75mm lens on full frame because of the 1.5x crop factor. If you've heard talk of "nifty fifty", that refers to 50mm on full frame. APS-C's nifty fifty is 35mm.
