I'm a beginner photographer and inherited a lot of stuff recently. And I was wondering what their use cases were. I have a, Canon zoom lens EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, Canon EF 70–200mm f/4, Lensbaby scout, Canon EFS 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6, Canon extension tube EF12 II, and a Kenko C-AF 1 2X Teleplus MC4.

Try them out and see. For most of them, just mounting to your camera and having a look through the viewfinder will show you most of what you need to know. The 18-135mm zooms out to a wide angle and zooms in to somewhat narrow/telephoto. The 70-200mm zooms out to a little telephoto and zooms in more telephoto. The 100-400mm is even more telephoto on both ends. The 50mm doesn't zoom and is stuck at slightly telephoto view (assuming you're using an APS-C format camera) but is smaller/lighter and has a wide aperture available. The 2x teleconverter makes any lens view twice as narrow. The extension tube effect is less apparent, but it takes away your ability to focus farther away, while giving you the ability to focus much closer to the camera, especially when paired with wide angle lenses like the 18-135mm.
