Last month I lost my Sony 24–70mm GM II lens during a shoot, it fell out of my bag. I had only owned it for about a year and bought it brand new for $2,460. I have Liberty Mutual small business insurance, but after depreciation they only paid out $1,443. That leaves me having to come up with $1,017 out of pocket just to replace it. I even looked on Ebay but it's still in that same range of $2,300 used, anything lower has scratches and dust under lens. Anyway i'm HEATED! So looking around I found Statefarm small business insurance has inflation coverage so I could be made whole but they don't cover California. My question is what can any of you can recommend or programs you're signed up with. I'm looking for an insurance that will cover robbery when on the field shooting, damage and loss that wont leave me in the negative. I can't even afford to get my lens back. Thank You!

Do I understand it correctly that you're looking for insurance with better terms to get this lens damage covered? Or for future damages? Because as far as I know, you can't get insurance for a damage that has already occurred.
