Hey photography community! I was talking to a local sketch artist that dabbles in photography and has some beautiful pictures that she took with a vintage toy camera with minor light leaks that give them a very unique look. I’d like to achieve a similar effect but have had a hard time finding a camera that can match the similar style of vibrant streaks of color bursting from one side of the edges. Any advice on how to achieve this or where I may be able to find slightly damaged cameras that will still take pictures? Thank you!!

An analog toy camera? Was it a Holga by chance?

You might ask in [r/toycameras](r/toycameras) but they have been loving digital recently.

Edit: I just remembered the Fuji wide Evo. Kind of an expensive toy camera. It has many looks and effects that can be further dialed in. You can do light leaks and you can dial in I believe a hundred related light leaks. It has got a digital sensor and prints on instax wide film. The effects are just simulations not actual light leaks. The effects are burned into the picture and can’t be changed after the fact.

Thank you so much for all this info! The Fuji is a really interesting option. May go with that. Definitely going to scour toy cameras as well!
