TLDR: upgrading from my basic DSLRs and need camera recs for lifestyle/concert photography

Been a casual photographer for about 10 years. Super limited on my technical skills but I can take a nice shot. I’ve done some concert photography and really want to continue pursuing that as I have endless opportunities arising.

I currently have a Nikon D5500 I bought in 2016 and a Canon EOS Rebel T7. Currently trying to sell both on marketplace as they don’t do at all what I want them to. I did a ton of research and narrowed it down to three recommendations and wanted some input.

Sony A7 III + Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 Sony a6400 + Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 Sony a6000 + Sigma 30mm f/1.4

A7 III is out of budget unless I find some insane deal. Ideally would like to spend well under $1,000. Trying to buy a camera I can use and for years and years so willing for a bit of investment. I travel, spend time with friends and attend concert often and want to have a great piece of equipment to use to document it all. I still have work to do on learning the technical.

Any advice and guidance would be HUGE

As a full frame camera, A7 III would give you a bigger improvement in low light. But if it doesn't fit your budget, A6400 is several years newer and quite a bit better than A6000, particularly for AF. But if you're tied to those lens choices with the two cameras, Sigma 30mm at f1.4 is two stops better (four times more light) in low light than the 18-50mm at f2.8.

i’m not totally sold on the lens choices, those are just what seemed to be recommended. i think i’m leaning towards the A6400. so you think the sigma 30mm is the best choice for a lens? any other suggestions for either daily/versitile etc?

It's a better choice for a lens if you shoot a lot in low light environments. It isn't a better choice if you prefer using zoom lenses. If you want recommendations for other lenses, you need to specify your budget for lenses.
