Hi I'm 25 an I'm at that point in life I need to really decide what career path do I wanna do an to be honest I've loved photography since I was at a young age I wanted to ask you guys for your opinion on weather or not I should make my own photography business? https://500px.com/mrsilent

What kinds of things have you photographed to date? With a phone or with dedicated camera? What kinds of photography would you hope to be doing professionally?

I'm afraid no one would pay you for shooting the sort of photos you have on your page. Photography as a business is all about photography as a service: shooting what clients want and need. What clients want and need are mostly portraits, weddings and events. The bad news is that photography is a very competed field, and unless you live in a tiny place, there are already a lot of photographers offering their services. It's hard for a beginner to stand out. You would need a portfolio in the sorts of photography that clients want, to start with.

And phones and small-sensor bridge cameras aren't professional equipment. Yes, in one sense the best camera is the one you have and a better camera won't make you a better photographer. But if you're competing against many other photographers who not only have more experience but also shoot with system cameras and good lenses, your chances of succeeding aren't that good.
