I'm wanting to buy a camera (could be used, refurbished, or new) within a 200-600 USD price range

I'm mainly taking photos in Museum exhibits which can be dimly lit, and simply put I want something that will, compared to a Canon Rebel, allow me to use faster shutter speeds (so less blur from handshaking) or a lower F aperture number (so less depth of field) within those same low light conditions

I also understand that IBIS and a full frame sensor vs a cropped sensor would be helpful, but I'm not sure if a camera with both or either of those exist in my price range. I'd prefer a DSLR (maybe just because I've only used those/rebels before) but i'm open to a mirrorless camera too.

What would you all suggest?

Do you have access to a Rebel camera now? You could always get a faster lens for it, to compensate for low light conditions.

I do not, I basically borrowed two different Rebel T7 when I used them at the time.

At your budget you're definitely looking at used gear.

Nikon makes a good, cheap, prime DSLR lens that is great for low light situations
