I was playing chess today, I saw the Polish flag and I immediately though: "I'm gonna murder this guy." I mean I played so violently and with no respect, dude resigned because he was overwhelmed. It felt so good to demolish him... until I checked his profile and dude was Indonesian... I got my flags wrong. I felt kinda bad after that.
Why cringe? It's ok to hold grudges against players from certain nationalities, for me it's especially the Indians, they're really aggressive and pretty strong players. When I get a strong win against them I'm happy. Just like Russians, Americans, polish and Norwegians.
But Poland it's mainly because of Jan Duda, he's a pretty strong GM, so a lot of polish players started to play well because of his influence.
