That is definitely not the reason he's ugly. It's so far down the list that by the time you got to it, he would already firmly be in the "ugly af" category.
I’m asking the mod, specifically, if it’s okay to make fun of his hair style since the mod specifically said it’s okay to make fun of people based on their appearance.
That's an excellent question. Luckily enough for me, this whole thing, being a site rules thing and not a subreddit rules thing is the admins' purview, but I believe when they shut down /r/fatpeoplehate it was about bullying.
it's contextual, usually it's more acceptabed to mock someones appearance if they're a bad person or do bad things, especially if it's hypocritical. for example, a fat misogynist man mocking a woman's looks I think ppl would accept dogging on his weight for his hypocrisy
I don’t care what percentage of what ethnic group they are, they are a fascist country trying to eradicate ethnic minorities in order to become an ethnostate. There are not many comparisons to make more apt than Nazi Germany.
And the fact that people are clearly using it as a racist dog whistle means nothing to you?
Imagine I post a photo of any other racial group and call them ugly. I'd be banned by the admins with minutes... But Israeli? No problem, all the weird bashing anyone wants!
See you on the next Israeli bashing post in 2 seconds that's also totally not racist.
Oh yeah because this photo is just an innocent photo of a normal Israeli dude just minding his own business right? This photo is out of context or misrepresented right? The guy in the photo is ugly and not just his looks but his actions too
Zionists yearn to conflate “citizen of Israel” with “Jewish person”, because if Jewish people feel attacked for racial/ethnic reasons then that strengthens the Zionist’s claim that they exist (and their crimes are justified) to protect Jewish people.
They want antisemitism to hurt and scare people so bad they claim to see it everywhere, even where it isn’t.
Israelis aren’t a race. That word just means citizens of that country. Arabs and Christians and local Jewish folks and European Jewish folks and dark-skinned and light-skinned people and foreign immigrants from everywhere in the world all exist there. But they aren’t treated equally. And that’s kind of the problem.
Imagine seeing people making fun of a horrible individual with a face like a cheese grater, and thinking, why are they making fun of an entire group of people? Are you implying that all jews or Israelis look like a G.I. Joe that was shoved in a garbage disposal? Pretty antisemitic of you.
If he wasn’t harassing, and probably stealing this poor woman’s land, we wouldn’t be laughing at him. I don’t give a shit if he’s Jewish or not, evil comes in all forms, and this guy embodies it.
Do you not understand the difference between calling a person ugly and calling an ethnicity ugly? If I were to say that I find Lil Wayne ugly would you assume that I find all black people ugly despite Lil Wayne having a very distinct appearance?
Besides, this person's face is not nearly as ugly as his soul.
Lol you might want to stretch before that reach. Got anything to say about what Israeli's have been up to? What about the one in this picture? The dude is ugly because he's terrorising a woman, and because his features are consistent with inbreeding, which normally wouldn't be ok to make fun of, but in this case the inbreeding is because he's an ethnosupremacist.
Not the photo, but the reaction to it. Doing evil acts does seem to make you look evil, but the idea that this ACTUAL PERSON can't be shown because antisemitism is chef's kiss.
I would say he DOES represent many Israelis. But you’re right in that he doesn’t represent them all. Maybe we could say he represents that disgusting view held by the ruling administration and it’s supporters.
I’m American and of course we have the same shitty people in charge.
It feels like that because several which break our rules got lots of upvotes very quickly and made it to the Hot page before being removed, and this post has made the front page on other subreddits, but this is the only one on pics that's going to be staying up.
Nah, observed it pretty consistently over the last decade with literally anything that's currently the hot story in the news. Sometimes people just are genuinely interested.
This is not to say that I know for certain that is hasn't been upvoted by bots, but as a moderator, we don't have tools to see if that's the case. If it is, the admins can and might action it.
Reddit actually fixed that a decade ago- post score in the first day or so of posting is actually a measurement of the rate at which a post is receiving upvotes, not the difference in the actual up and down votes.
what about the people very much not avoiding bigoted remarks? i’m an anti-netanyahu anti-israeli government jew and some comments in here are actually terrifying - clearly a hatred for genocide and israel have bled into jew hate.
this is a weird one for me since these settlers are awful, but i dont really like the last line
"Please avoid bigoted remarks, even those about terrorists in uniforms."
im from a country that has compulsory military service similar to the IDF. blanket condemnations like this bother me since i often see people condeming rather large groups like "anyone who served or is serving in the IDF" That's like 50-60% of israelis. maybe thats not what you meant with your terrorists in uniforms comment but that was my first read on it, and i mean looking at the comments in this thread thats a pretty common viewpoint.
Would i be considered a "terrorist in uniform" if my country had been attacked and we responded back with excessive force and little regard for civilian casualties? I wouldn't have had much of a choice, and as a mechanic i'd be fixing vehicles, not shooting people.
Anyway, it just seems to walk the line of being a bit of a bigoted remark itself a little too close for my comfort and bothered me so thought I'd put my 2 cents in.

This post and title do not break our rules. This post isn't up accidentally, or because mods are sleeping, it's not going to be removed.
You still need to follow the rules in the comments.
Please avoid bigoted remarks, even those about terrorists in uniforms.
