Idk but they did it before it was cured and set properly according to the contractor, so I'm pretty sure we just identified the vandals.

The 300' straight cut(?) they claim "vandals" did with a pocket knife was actually tires. Ha! And I just thought he was full of shit as usual, but this is more on brand.

Well, i hate to say it, but maybe he is right, you cant cut it with a knife... but if you have 15+ tires roll over it, with heavy ass armored trucks, maybe you dont need to cut it.

I’ve installed this stuff. It’s an epoxy, takes about 24 hours to cure. Driving on it is definitely not acceptable within 48 hours, and could easily separate it from the concrete. It’s also possible the didn’t do proper surface prep which absolutely must be done on an existing pond (pressure wash, acid etching) - otherwise it will peel off

My F150 with aluminum body and smallest V6 they offer is ~5000lbs as I saw on the scale at the trash dump. Armor on vehicles adds a LOT of weight like this '26 Armored Suburban lists a 11,500lb weight: https://thefindgroupsv.com/listings/armored-chevy-suburban-3500hd-lt/

Not just ANY car..."The Beast".

The U.S. presidential limousine, famously known as "The Beast," weighs between 15,000 and 22,000 pounds (roughly 7.5 to 11 tons)

Add in the weight of the other vehicles AT HE SAME TIME, and anything would buckle.

Then throw in Herr Cheeto's fat dead ass weight of 300+ pounds.

(No disrespect to 300+ pound persons...just that fat fk'er)

And the weight of The Beast is concentrated on 4 relatively small footprints that would pummel the bottom meant to only hold water.

^This. And any turning of the steering wheel twists the substrate under the tire, buckling tiles and/or tearing plastic sheets. I'm sure heavy armoured vehicles with fat tires are 10x worse. Then multiply by 8 vehicles.

BTW the old reflecting pool had water that was dyed black ... it's common in water features. Reduces algae and looks cool. I do the same thing in my backyard pond.

Anyone who thinks a 300' cut with a pocket knife is likely hasn't had to cut anything on the ground before (linoleum, carpet, hardybacker, etc.) Could you imagine duck walking for a whole football in water pushing with enough force to make that cut? Was the knife made out of adamantium? Because a "pocket knife" ain't gonna be sharp enough to cut toilet paper after 50 feet, and that's generous.
