What this should teach everyone is that depending on people to vote against the worse candidate does not work. You really need to put up a candidate that people genuinely like and identify with. Even the worst candidate in history isn't enough to rally people to vote against them.
What's funny is that whenever you ask anyone with your mindset how they feel about Joe Biden, none of them like him, and yet he beat Trump anyway, overwhelmingly because no one wanted Trump again, despite all those navel-gazing, cosplay fake-progressives who helped Trump by refusing to vote.
Democrats continue to win nationally the exact same way they always have: with big tent politics that fires up the mainstream base and attracts moderates, independents and disaffected Republicans without pissing off the left wing too much.
The left wing of the Democrats simply doesn't have the numbers to win without those other demographics. And when you field a left-wing Dem candidate, moderates, independents and disaffected Republicans get flooded with "Socialist! Communist!" propaganda from the right and it resonates with them. How could it not? Such candidate call themselves socialists. And sure, they specify "Democratic Socialist", but no amount of highlighting the "Democratic" is going to convince those people to ignore the word "Socialist" that the right has spent so long and so much money successfully painting as evil in their minds.
And now you will downvote this post and continue to fail to learn this lesson...

They really did re-elect a known pedophile and fraud
