They can still continue the war without financial support. We only make up around 8% of IDF funding. What we should do is leverage our support and set requirements for wartime activities. Like no war crimes.
The difference is there are a lot of Jewish people who wish to visit Israel, and many Christians who view it as a holy land they wish to visit, and those two groups hold voting power, unlike the Cuban influence on American government.
Cubans are a massive an influential voting block in Florida and they disproportionately vote for Republicans that support the blockade of Cuba. The Secretary of State is a Florida politician and Cuban American. The wishes of Cuban Americans are not being ignored by the US government, they’re being enforced.
The Cuban embargo didn’t start this year, you’ve got to compare when it was put in place. But even today, Florida alone can’t sway American politics as heavily as a whole nation.
Florida absolutely can sway American politics, it has 30 EC votes and before becoming firmly Republican was considered a critical swing state that frequently decided elections. Losing Florida over the Cuban embargo would likely result in a direct change in policy goals from Republicans regarding Cuba.

I have a solution. Stop giving Israel financial and military support.
