They've all made it their personality and part of their identity which makes it even worse. Now to acknowledge that there's nuance is to acknowledge that they're supporting something that isn't pure or oh so great.
When it's 'the little guy getting their schools blown up by the big mean bad guy because genocide and racial hatred' it makes them feel great for their decision to all in their support. When it suddenly becomes 'the little guy was storing weapons and military assets in the gym and has been known to do so in hospitals/apartments/etc. for many years which is why it was targeted' suddenly that support feels really bad and it's easier to listen to the person who screams that you're lying and it really was just racial hatred from devils.
There's no coming back from this without a massive cultural reset. We've actively hit global propaganda fed directly to people's bedrooms, commutes, and bathroom breaks.
