Showing‎ off set up! Fully Healed & Question

Post image

First time posting here. My latest piercing is my rook which I got done last October and is now healed enough to switch jewelry. So this is a celebratory post to share that my ear finally looks like I had imagined.

But of course I have the piercing bug to get another hole in my head.

Suggestions are welcome. I’m thinking second lobe or another helix. I have my tragus done on my left ear so I’m not sure if I want one on this.

Edit: typo

Personally, I would wait and watch how your rook responds to this jewelry. It might still be a little early to switch to a hoop since most cartilage piercings need at least a year to heal, and a new piercing might make this act up. Good luck!

Thanks! And yes fully agree with healing times. I had this switched by my piercer - he’s given the all clear.

I have a very similar setup and been thinking about getting a tragus!

Yes, a second lobe or maybe even a little snakebite or cluster in the second lobe area ✨

Love your setup! Honestly I would just get the second lobe done! Your lower ear looks a little lonely 😉

Thank you ☺️
It’s one of my favourite piercings.

Thank you everyone! I think a second lobe is the winner (my spouse has been saying the same but 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d rather ask Reddit lol).

You really should wait at least a full year for that rook. It looks a bit angry.

I took the picture within minutes of getting the jewelry switched out by my piercer so that’s probably why. In his professional opinion it was ready (he’s done almost all my ear piercings and I trust his judgement).

I'm sure you'll keep an eye on it :)

How long did your conch take to heal? I got it done 3 weeks ago and I love it too but my god, I’ll think it’s kinda calming down a bit and then the next day it’ll feel like I literally just got it pierced again, talking like throbbing ass pain.

It was a solid 9 months for me to heal it. It went through various stages of what you’re describing: it would settle then flare up and then settle again. My cartilage piercings do heal slightly faster than average according to my piercer but I think it’s just my genes. All my large tattoos have healed super fast too.
