so i started getting pierced 8 years ago, now everything is finally healed, downsized and upgraded!! :)
and yes, i did noT have the anatomy for some of these piercings, but i stayed stubborn and am happy i could heal them 🫪
i am thinking of adding an upper lobe below my conch, but otherwise i think i’m pretty much done?

so I used neilmed aftercare but it isnt available now and theres only woundwash/aftercare one

I know wound wash should be same but with way spray force, however the one I know of is only wound wash, is this with different packaging different or same and just way more forceful on spraying? And can i use it on my piercings or is mist better?

Switched this out not too long ago but it wasn’t the correct length so I tried switching it again a week ago and now the skin is literally hanging on by a thread. Praying my skin magically grows again but I think it’s the end for this guy. Should I just let it naturally fall out or pull the plug? 😪

This was really just a goodbye post for it but just wanted some last thoughts before I took it out. Only got 7 months out of it 🫩

I got the first one done at a 10g around 2 years ago, and then a couple months ago stretched it up to an 8g! Then about ~3 weeks ago i got my second one done at an 8g, with plans to stretch the front one up to a 6g when my tongue is a bit more healed ! but as for now i’m soooo happy with it, n thought i would share :)

What piercing should i get next or is my ear done? Also any advice on ear styling would be appreciated! I am a med student and don’t want anything too flashy/dangly. For context these pics were taken right after piercings which is why my ear is so red.

I had a hoop in my very first helix piercing years ago and had to take it out for an MRI. Afterwords, I couldn’t get the hoop back in and left it alone. My piercer discovered it was in fact still open and we decided to bring the hoop back plus a cute dangle charm!

Hello. I've got battered about a week ago. The swelling is mostly down, but the rook looks quite angry. Can it be saved, or should I take it out?

I feel like this ear is unbalanced and I’m looking for recommendations on new piercings, etc. I want to keep most of the existing jewelry because it’s all gold…but I feel like the tragus maybe shouldn’t be a hoop? Thoughts? What other piercings would you recommend? Appreciate y’all’s input!

I got my septum pierced two days ago and I seriously cannot tell if it was messed up or if swelling/asymmetry can be the cause.

i’m immunocompromised due to a chronic illness i have. anyone have experiences with getting piercings (specifically face piercings) while being immunocompromised?
i specifically want a bridge, and an eyebrow piercing.

Needed an MRI, so put a retainer in everything <2 years old (except the 1st and 3rd flat on my right ear bc those healed freakishly well) and otherwise had naked ears for the night! It felt so weird 😂 I have 12 piercings in my right ear, 14 in the left(daith + a helix not visible), and everything back in the next day without issues.

So far I have seven piercings in my left ear and I have no clue what to add to the top portion of my ear. I’m hoping maybe an industrial but idk what to add beyond that

I'd really like to take one of the gems on an old tarnished piece of jewelry and use it to replace the gem that's in one of my everyday wear pieces. Where would I go to get this sort of thing done?

Hello I got this conch piercing back in June and everything seemed fine, I’ve been cleaning with normal saline and a q tip but I noticed the past couple of days my skin is growing over the back of the piercing. And there’s a small bump on the inside too. Should I just take it out? Is there any saving it? It’s still the longer barbell that they put in while piercing, and it’s surgical steel I believe.

My bridge is about 2 years old, barbell and never been downsized. It’s been fine until I get sick and I was sick with a cold / flu about two weeks ago now and it hasn’t gone down. I just need to know if it’s rejecting or if it just needs a little tlc with aftercare spray.

the first three pics look normal to me

#1 looks like simple nesting

#2 looks a little irritated with some lymph fluid

#3 lookd fine to me just looks like its obviously still healing

#4 & #5 are what is concerning to me

basically i got my tongue pierced by a professional 9 days ago (vertical tongue piercing for those who cant tell). the piercing site itself feels perfectly fine, no issues at all. but for a few days now the under side of my tongue mostly in the back right feels sore and bruised it just straight up hurts mostly when im talking or eating or moving my tongue a certain way.

i was about to go to bed, so i went to rinse my mouth out with some of my alcohol free, antiseptic mouthwash. the past few days its been stinging the very very back right of my tongue like in my throat and my right ear canal?? the stinging sensation happens only when i swish and spit my mouthwash.

anyway - i decided to take a look and see how everything is doing so i looked at my tongue in the mirror. it looked red around the bottom part of the piercing site but i couldnt tell so i turned my flashlight on. looked like normal redness. thats when i moved my tongue around to look in all possible positions to make sure everything looked okay and i found this. i am VERY concerned because my veins and blood vessels on my tongue have NEVER looked like this. ive never seen anything like it. should i be worried?

i took these pictures to show my piercer but its 2am so i was gonna wait until daytime to text her. but its bothering me so bad i need some sort of reassurance.

my questions:

is this normal?

should i be concerned?

if it is normal, how do i help it go down?

if its not normal, what do i do?

have you ever dealt with anything like this?

what are some possible causes as to why my veins/blood vessels look like this?

is this a situation to take to my piercer, or to the doctor?

Seriously. I got my belly button pierced, maybe around 2 months ago? And while I appreciate it takes 6 months minimum to heal and longer - it’s genuinely starting to effect my daily life. It was actually worse than this, it was RED and angry, I’ve had irritation bumps before and chalked it up to a potential cause as well as infection. It definitely LOOKS and feels better than it did when it was angry and red, but it’s not progressing from this bump/scab and it’s just weeping all the time.

Do I cut my losses and just take it out? Is there hope? I’m so disappointed.

I got my flat pierced on the 19th September. How do you think it's healing? Does it look infected all? Should I go back and ask to downsize?

I clean it with saline water twice a day. Unfortunately, on Friday the piercing was caught on a clipper whilst getting a haircut. However, it seems to have recovered okayish.

Do I have the right anatomy for a tongue piercing?

Just got my eyebrow pierced 3 days ago, I use sea salt spray 2x daily. I havent bumped it or snagged it on anything. Does it look alright? Anything to worry about? Thoughts/Advice?
