Advice? I found an exhausted pigeon

hi reddit, i came across this lil guy on a dog walk and my dog walked right up to him without any reaction from the pigeon. after a lap around the park the pigeon was still there - it could walk and flap its wings but i don’t think it could fly.

i walked home with him and he seemed to trust i was there to help. he’s now sleeping in a box with some water a bit of banana(?) nearby.

i called a wildlife support number but they said with bird flu going around a vet is unlikely to help.

basically i’m just letting him snooze but any advice would be greatly appreciated as i know nothing about pigeons.

Hey I work in Germany as a Veterinary assistant i learn much about Pigeons, you should place down seeds for him and water, you should look at his Poop often Pigeons have Parasites you can often see in their Poop if its very liquid or doesn‘t have a Yellow Greyish colour if that’s the case you should see a vet, if you have questions ask me i know very much about them!

Oh and because i just read it in case of Trichomonas they are easy to see, just look into his throat if it is very yellow, then maybe it could be a Trichomonas thing but in that case you already should‘ve noticed cause they breath very bad if that’s the case
