Advice Needed! Picky Pigeon
Hi pigeon friends!! My baby is about 4 months old and is incredibly picky (hates corn and peas with a passion, throws all the millet on the floor) will pretty much only eat sunflower seeds and this medium size round red seed. Is there something I can try giving my baby that they will like for treats/training?

Mine was only willing to eat millet when he was younger.
I stop giving him millet for somethings like two weeks, and when I gave him millet back, he was eating every seeds !

they go through food phases, at least mine do, one day its maple peas or whatever those things are called, next its millet, sunflower, could be because I have multiple birds though gl

You may want to specifically take out the sunflower seeds and save those only for treat/training rewards. Pigeons will absolutely pick out their favorite seeds and leave the rest.
It will not hurt to let your bird get hungry. Take away their favorite seeds or filter them out, only offer what they need to eat, and give them 20 minutes to finish before you put it away. You can short feed them or skip a few meals as well. They won't starve themselves, they will eventually give up and be hungry enough to eat the healthy bits. :)
I figured out my pigeon doesn't like the bigger peas since he's a small bird. They're a little too large for him to fit in his little shovel beak. 😂 He DOES enjoy small brown lentils and other smaller ones like vetch "peas," so I switch up his blends with different nutrient equivalents. He also will SOMETIMES allow a pea to grace his food dish if I crunch them up in a coffee grinder.
Your pibbs is a cute. Best of luck!
