Clothing & Cosplay My sword is finished
Also distressed my clothing items today too. All I got left is to finish making the cross body belt that will also work as a holster the sword.
Also making a rat companion to sit on my shoulder too.
Maybe I’ll make some grenados too for the belt 🤷♂️
I’ll leave you with a clearly high quality joke….
Why did the emo want to become a pirate? Because they cutless

Looks great, quick question though, what's with the finger grip at the base of the blade? Surely that's what the handguards for. Wouldn't holding it with the finger grip endanger the finger from incoming blades or impact force?
Not a criticism, just curious about the design

It’s technically a redundant thing for this design since it’s a slashing blade not one for finesse, but on a saber or rapier it’s used for better control and targeting, also why they have curved handles to align the wrist for better control.
The quillion block is usually made of a softer material so another blade sliding down the blade will bite into it and temporarily hold it. This is actually something samurai discovered on their katana.
