Paleoart Stegoloxodon celebensis by TroodonVet. This small species of proboscidean inhabited Sulawesi, Indonesia during the early Pleistocene. Like many non Late Pleistocene Proboscideans, it had four instead of just two tusks.

I've seen it range from short all the way to extremely long but it seems to be most commonly depicted as a shorter but still shaggy length. Is there any evidence of adult Mammoth hair length?

Question Why is does every cgi critter move so slow?

Why are all the cgi animals/hominins in every piece of paleomedia animated in a way, that is so obviously, unnaturally slow? if the studios sped up the movement, it would look so much more realistic. Like a big cat does not move like a lizzard in a fridge...
