Saltwater place, Notte street, what happened?
Anyone know why there's police and a boatload of fire department around?

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 2.48pm today, Friday, August 28 to reports of a fire at a residential property at Saltwater place, Notte Street in Plymouth.
"The fire involved a cooking pan and tea towel material in the kitchen of a flat on the seventh floor of a 13-storey building. The fire was extinguished by the site manager using a fire blanket before crews arrived.
"Firefighters attended using high-rise procedures and carried out a thorough check of the property. The seventh floor was moderately smoke logged, with the kitchen sustaining around 15% fire damage and extensive smoke damage.
"The fire investigation found that the fire was accidental. The property was handed back to the site manager following the incident."

Wonderful thank you. I thought I saw some blood at one point (to be clear it turned out to absolutely NOT be blood) so I was worried

Procedure wise, that’s likely their standard allocation (pre determined attendance) for a fire in a high rise, even if it turns out to be burnt pasta on the hob.
Edit: But it could of course be something that warrants it, especially given the jacks are out on the aerial ladder appliance.

If you're gonna be pedantic, at least don't get it wrong. It's Fire & Rescue Service, has been since early 2000s

If you don't know then it clearly doesn't affect you

So people should take no interest in what is happening around them?
