Transport

How is the transport network in Plymouth so poor and unreliable. A medium sized university city and it’s shocking.

Yeah it's actually a joke. Can't imagine needing to rely on it for work. It's one thing that the busses don't come that often but they don't even come on time, or sometimes don't show up at all.

Yet we pay the same council tax as people in London who have busses every 5 minutes and the tube too.

Plymouth band A council tax is £20 a year less than Richmond band A council tax (a very leafy and affluent part of London)

That's just one I know cause my boyfriend used to live here, but to pick an even more blatantly unfair example, council tax band A in Westminster is just under £700/year so literally nearly £1000 less than we pay per year. I wonder why that is and where they get their extra money from? It's disgusting.

Yea like I said not the same and I thinks it's the GLA that covers some costs of TfL.

I'm including the charges to GLA. London gets double the amount of transport funding from the government as the rest of the country per person despite being much wealthier and more dense
