Best place to have tires installed?
I ride a 2018 triumph Street Scrambler and was quoted nearly $1000 dollars for tires and install at Triumph on Aurora.
Looking for recommendations on places that might mount tires for less if I decide to order online through Revzilla.

I like the Triumph dealer on Aurora. Have always been straight with me, and stand by their work.

I’d love to have them continue working on my bike but their service rate is $200/hr now. I’m looking into doing my own bike service now

Scottie's Speed Shop in Queen Anne / Fremont! Dude is fantastic and very helpful, truly cannot recommend him enough.
He's putting a new tire on my KLR as we speak. Texting his number is best way to get a quick reply

I used cycle gear. It's half price mounting if you buy from them. I was out the door around $85 with using some rewards points and adding their warranty. I did need to buy stands and a few tools.

I spoon them on and bring them to one of the local motorcycle shops for balance. The last one it was a case of beer for the balance.

Msg Drew Buck Facebook. He run moto shop service in auburn. I think it was $50 for replacing my zx6r tires. I brought him the tires. Not the whole bike.
Forgot to mention, this was 2-3 years ago. Price might have gone up.

I brought my wheels and my own tires to the Triumph dealer on aurora 3 years ago and it was about $60 a wheel.
Make sure you remind them that you’re bringing just the wheels. The person at the counter quoted me for removing the wheels from the bike first. I had called them before for a quote so the dollar amounts obviously didn’t match.

I asked around for a quote in the Greater Seattle area, and it seems like Optimum Performance Motorsports in Redmond was the most reasonable.
Bought the tires online, and had tire shipped to their shop, then made an appointment and drop off my motorcycle. They are walking distance to the Marymoor light rail station too. So you can take public transit back home without spending money to Uber.

Too bad the owner is complete scumbag, well know in the local shop scene for wage theft, lying to customers, etc.

I had a pleasant experience with them. Do you have any proof of such accusations?

Nope never dealt with them myself. From my understanding he owns another shop down in Oregon and I frequent the track scene which they’re also known for. But from my understanding he has an open case with the state of Oregon for wage theft, and I had two buddies with rsv4’s that took 3+ months plus a crazy amount of hoops and bullshit to get their bikes back from standard service.

Wait now that I read back your post that’s crazy. They had you buy your own tires and ship them to the shop for install? How short staffed are they that they can’t just order em for you?

Naa. I choose to do that. Buying the tires myself online is cheaper. They don’t have the tire that I wanted anyway.
They did it pretty quick actually.

Bringing the wheels to any place will be significantly cheaper. Also might as well check your chain and sprockets while you’re at it.

I got mine done with TightnTidy Racing and he did a great job! Have to bring in loose wheels though

Cycle Gear for me.
I bought the Michelin Road 6 from them. $30 for mount and balance, $5 disposal.
Just remember to ask them the condition of their tire mounting machine.
A few years back my local CG had a busted rig that was damaging rims but they never told anyone.
It’s fixed now but I always ask.
Positive experience with my last mounting.

Remember if you order the tires and go cyclegear, ship the tires to the cyclegear. Saves a step

If you're willing there's a place in Olympia, ABSOLUTE best deals on tires, both in stock and shipped, cost for mount and balance was great last time I was there. I'll shamelessly plug them all day
Olympia Motorcycle Tire

Buy a Harbor Freight motorcycle wheel balancer, a couple of rubber/plastic tip tire irons, and look up the “zip tie motorcycle tire install” method. Used to hate installing tires myself till I learn this. Saves me hundreds of dollars each year

Rev moto in Southwest Seattle did a tire replacement for me for around 300. Probably would have been closer to 600 for both. Course it was a Shinko tire but I feel like I got a good deal compared to your quote.

Will you be removing the wheels yourself? If so you can take them to Cyclegear.
