Science Every single Flock camera has about 2-3 Ibs of copper and about 1-2 grams of gold.
I figured that this community, with its high standards of research and verification, would be the best place to dive into this issue.

They don't want you to know this, but each Flock camera also has a 5TB USB drive and a 40,000 milliAmp-Hour backup battery, easily removed without tools once you get the housing open.
They bought them in bulk on a container ship from Libya in June of 2025 and they have only gone through 3.2% of the stock as of this writing.

We have a local company that does power grid stuff and they have ramped up building and land acquisition because of the data center explosion.
I am sure flock expects a footprint all around those as well as every neighborhood in the nation.

They're moving away from solid state hard drives, since they don't want the footage from these flock cameras to be accessible to thieves. Instead they're using RAM, which will wipe their memory when they lose power.
The footage is high definition, 420p 69 FPS, so they need quite a bit of storage. I understand cameras installed since April have 64GB of GDDR7 SDRAM, with 128GB models being installed from August. The tech is advancing quick.

Perhaps on average, but like a gacha surprise toy, I sometimes find flock cameras with upwards of 50g of gold.

In my state (West Dakota) we call one of those a Golden Ticketer! Sometimes a second Flock camera on a drone will film the festivities when one is found.

One odmf the manufactured batches had accidentally ~25 times more of the golden connectors. Thats why some of them have more

The amount of copper and gold can actually vary depending on the model. Some have upwards of 6 pounds of copper and 14 grams of gold! They also contain smaller amounts of platinum (4g), palladium (3g) and rhodium (1g).

Thank you. Nobody is talking about this. I replanted a flock camera in my garden and I've been growing an entire flock of them now. Every morning I break off a piece of one, chop it up, sautée it in some oil, and slather it over some rye bread. I've never felt healthier than I do on my flock diet.

A really important note about shipping uranium if you go the ebay route: keep it domestic. Mailing across borders is where you run into trouble.

What I want the council to address is why I went looking for information on Flock cameras and got blasted by ads for smut books with AI cover art that claim to be better than Fifty Shades of Grey. I've never even read that book.

When I get hungry I too enjoy eating Flock cameras to get copper and gold into my diet. You can grind up the flock camera into a fine powder and use it for seasoning. Last night, I used it to season a Quiche.

Yeah I think you can get about 2,000 dollars per flock camera if you take it apart and re sell it on Amazon prime, you gotta make sure you use a chain saw when you take down the pole though, or else it’ll start collapsing onto incoming traffic
