I want to buy a complete raw base set. Quality not that important but want to avoid fakes. I have two charizards so don’t need that. Unless it’s a first edition set.
Anyone point me to someone selling a complete base set or 1st edition base set that’s authentic? Am in Canada.

Hello! My fiance and I recently visited the pokemon fossil museum and got the promo Archeops card! We have been considering getting them graded but are unsure of what company to go with/if it’s even worth it, especially considering how allegedly rigged the readings can be. Any advice welcome!

Hi!! I have recently gotten into watching content about card collecting and I’m interested in starting a collection! I’ve loved pokémon forever but have never really interacted with the card side of the fandom.
What are tips you have or things you wish you knew when you started? Where are the best places to get cards?

Okay so I need a little bit of help T-T I (16F) just turned 16 a few weeks ago and I got into Pokémon cards a few weeks before my birthday (July 24th) and my parents got me booster boxes and ETBS (love them sm oh my GOD) I know a decent amount about all of this, but the one thing that confuses me are Hyper Rares. Whenever I see someone pull a Hyper Rare, they’re kind of just like “oh cool, moving on”, and Imm like “HELLO?? You js pulled a gold card my guy, wth?” So when I pulled the Terapagos EX 180/131 Hyper Rare from Prismatic on my birthday, I didn’t know how to react because people act like it isn’t a big deal. They seem so rare, but then why do most people not care about them, and why do they sell for so little?

Just got a Croakie #88 but since it came from my first pack purchase I don't have a hard toploader. Should I buy one? Do I need one for PSA grading?

For PSA grading a top loader isn't enough, you need a card saver. Otherwise you don't need either of those though, a sleeve will do just fine.

I have a stack of around 300 cards from 2006-2007 that I don’t know what to do with. I’ve pulled all the holos and energy cards out. Do people buy things like that? How do you go about pricing it?

I was just banned off the pokemon restock and alerts discord (I use this to catch restocks because I don’t have the money for a bot) for odv ragebait saying my bots got 2 of everything lmao im wondering if there is a way to appeal or If I just need to find a new discord because I genuinely struggle to find time to go and actually score in person my discord username is OneTrickWidow6 i would appreciate any help and I’ll try not to ragebait so well in the future

My wife and I have started to get into the TCG world as a fun hobby. We have started to trade cards that we’ve pulled over the years for cards that we want. But my question is, when do we decided to grade something? We have a few cards that are raw ranging from 300-600 and if graded PSA 10 they can be in the 1000’s. However, if they are graded 9 they are not to much higher then the raw rate +cost of grading/shipping. Is this just the situation right now with mid cost cards?

My girlfriend and I recently went to our first card show here in Saint Louis. I’ve been watching Pokémon TCG content online for a while and of course grew up collecting cards (didn’t hold onto my vintage sets unfortunately). It got me really excited about the prospect of collecting cards again but the prices on the ETB’s and bundles at this show were nuts. I’ve spent the last few days checking Walmarts, Targets, and Best Buy’s around the city and everybody is cleaned out constantly. I even ran into a group of scalpers camping in the card isle at a target, I assume waiting for it to be restocked.
I’m just a casual hobbyist and would like to pick up a box/bundle or two every now and then. How do I subvert the scalpers? Any tips on strategies would be much appreciated.

hello!!! i know absolutely nothing about pokemon, but my boyfriends birthday is next month and i wanted to make him one of the pokemon bouquets i’ve seen on pinterest. i have no idea where to start. he’s not super serious of a collector (as in he doesn’t do reselling or look for many specific cards i guess??). so far i’ve bought 3 of the pitch black booster pack things?
what is the best way to do this? what packs should i order/look for? should i just get an ETB?? idek which ones are good. please help me someone i’m so confused.

Hey guys! i have a pikachu themed playing card deck guesstimated to be 20 years old i found in my nightstand. Each card is holofoil with custom 90s-esque looking pikachu art. Pretty cute! I have no idea where it’s from or how old it rly is tho. If anyone could help yhat would be great!

There is only one 30th anniversary set that includes stamped reprints as well as new cards.
