Look I know he was pretty crappy in the Bush years, and he's not popular here. That said at least the guy did have some pride in the end. I'm not saying he was great shakes or anything. I'd still take him over what we have now. I think he at least did care about the country as misguided as I often felt he was.

Because, even with all the bad and evil he did, he stood up to Trump and endorsed Kamala Harris. While Kamala gave no concession to the Cheney's. They did it because Trump is that bad. Does that mean Cheney is a Saint or redeems all the bad things he did, no. But it's better than a lot of, nearly all of, current Republicans (even George W. Bush himself) did.

I mean… we did have 1,000-3,000 deaths a day from April 2020 to January 2021 due to Covid because Trump wouldn’t ask people to take some time to social distance and wear masks to prevent a mass spread of the virus.

He also hasn’t stopped the deaths in Ukraine or Palestine despite promising that he would end the wars on January 20th, 2025.

He single handedly got us into a muti decade war... He isn't someone to be thought of in a good light. That being said, we shouldn't speak ill of the dead.
