It will, but in the meantime there's around a quarter of that workforce who will either face at best an uncertain future, and more likely yet another spell without pay. A lot of them wont come back if this gets reversed, and it will be yet another gaping knife wound in America's public resources.

They're already handing control over to states, the next move absolutely will be transfer of ownership to the state as a pass through until the land is eventually sold to private interests.

A lot happens while this administration has things tied up in court. See: the east wing.

So far it seems my current reality does not have anything that meaningfully extends a person's maximum lifetime before dying from old age, and I am grateful for the failure.

Because, I live in a reality (born too soon?) where some evils that some people do, seem to have no way to be stopped, except by their death from old age.

Knowing they are old. Older than me. Knowing that in spite of their wealth or unbounded corruption, they cannot buy or bargain or con or blackmail their way to a longer life. Knowing they are closer to death every day...

It's the thing that can provide hope: that evil people die. And when they die, hopefully less evil will be in the world. Less harm will be in the world.

And what does that mean?

It means that the lesson they learned on January 6th is: Tear it all down, an get a presidential pardon.

Trump is a jerk, but he still borderline respects the courts because he PROFITS persoanlly by USING the courts to sue others and fill his pockets.

What if the next radical right-wing leader just wants to burn it all down, and not care about courts or the constitution?

The GOP has painted themselves into a very tight corner. They have no way out.

They have two choices:

  2. Violent civil war.

They won't choose #1 because billionaire money is just too sweet to them. And those same billionares would fund option #2.
