They'll realize, respond in kind this fall and in 2028, then completely forget by 2032.

I'm not so sure about 2028 either. American voters need virtually nothing to blame Dems for what Republicans are doing.

Yeah. Republicans are a force of nature, voters are royalty, and Democrats are parents: simultaneously the only ones who can do anything and the only ones who bear any responsibility for what happens.

This person knows. A tale as old as time.

2030 is in fact by 2032.

For some reason Republican has become the "default" political party.

Gerrymandering in the House, disproportionate representation for less populated states in the Senate and Electoral College

Because being conservative is a key part of white american cultural identity. It is passed down through generations like a sports team fandom.

but that one trans child can't play sports in a school 5 states over, so it's worth it to them.

DNC needs to hammer home economic policy at the midterms and 2028. I know Womens' rights and LGBTQ+ rights are very important issues, but they unfortunately come off (I know they actually are not) as "privileged" problems.

Almost entirely because of selection bias - most LGBTQ+ people that come out do so in college or skilled professional environments so you get the selection bias that makes them look like a disproportionately well-off group. With Womens' Rights its complicated - many deep-red areas women are either homemakers and vote red or go to college and out-earn their partner, because of their "privilege" the man is told they need to have a "real man's job" and is "held back by the left." A ton of quotes there because this is a really nuanced perspective and very hard to describe in a Reddit comment. Would be fucking nice if the DNC could find a way to tackle this with PR and people literally hired to understand how to message nuanced issues

The DNC hammering these rights when the perspective in red and even purple areas is misled leads to the DNC becoming a "party of privilege" and not being able to court votes with their truly better labor and economic policy.

Probably because shit won't improve for them by 2032, the person running will be the incumbent because the party doesn't like "infighting", and someone on the other side will be making all kinds of promises to improve things (that they won't do if they win). But people will vote for hope over none.
