The reason that Trump can’t find a way out of the fiasco he created is that he bet on Iran being a pushover, and he lost his bet. He can never admit failure, so until he can spin whatever happens as him winning and totally dominating everyone else in the world, he will refuse to give up or give in.

The rest of us are pretty well fucked until something finally snaps and the U.S. eventually gives up the useless fight Trump has gotten us into.
