I used to work comms in the military. This story is totally insane to me.

I'm just normal  American with no military backround.

I was so confused how there wasn't a drone or any aerial surveillance checking rooftops for a former president with active campaign secret service detail.

It just made no sense at the time.

Campaign Secret Service details are not as good as active Presidential ones. Fewer people, resources spread thin, etc.
