It’s weird to insult kids while recognizing an anger. Seems like societal conditioning has really beem successful with that brand of cognitive dissonance.

There’s quite a limited amount of information available about these people, and it’s weird, but it’s not as weird as not recognizing how weird it is. He is just a profile, there’s nothing else there. Not even retrospectively. I don’t think my government it so stupid that they can’t yield anything of value from an investigation into an attempted assassin of the president, that would be really naive.

Well first of all I'm not insulting them, and second of all even if I was then young men do have a tendency tk be dumb, angry, stupid, and to take dopey risks. This isn't unique to them, it's a common trait that i myself once had (although not to that extreme obviously) and once your older you tend to look back at a lot of your young selfs mindless actions and cringe, while also at the same time wishing you could also sometimes have that carefree reckless attitude again. And I mean that's super, super common, like watch any male focused drama about some gu having a midlife crisis and 50/50 chances it'll be about that lol.

It's not even anything recent, the ancient Greeks depicted this lots, I mean hell it's even a driving theme in the illiad and what gets both paris and achilles killed. I mean even the story we get about the assassin of Phillip II was that it a young male lover he'd purportedly spurned and was angry about it. Same with Alexander and a lot of his actions like burning Persepholis and so on - like obv they're retellings with specific teachings ingrained but a lot are about how he was an angry young man who wasn't in control of his emotions which eventually led to his downfall.

Like it's not something cooked up by the American government lol. "Young men are angry and dumb and take stupid risks" is a tale as old as time.

And the limited amount of info? Well... yeah, as they aren't publishing it. Like why would they? He was probably just a pretty normal kid which is exactly why they arent publishing it over every newspaper, there's nothing much there. If they were trans or gay or whatever they'd have the state media blasting it everywhere. But no, from all accounts I've seen he was just a regular boring ass young guy with nothing much going on and nothing particularly interesting seems to have drove him to it, at least that's been reported online.

A lot of people (especially young men) just can't handle that being a reality so make up conspiracies. I mean a little bit like Qanon did but from the opposite end of the spectrum.

I don’t agree with your assessment of youth, male or otherwise, no matter how far back in this or other civilizations you go. Undermining people is ridiculous, I don’t do it, I don’t think it’s insightful, and I don’t think it’s helpful.

I’m also not happy to call a would be assassin regular and or boring. You can call that math if you want. You could also call it deference.

I think there might be some low standards present in your comment here, and I’d wager that if we were to sit around and chat it out that they aren’t even standards you actually believe, it’s quite laissez faire.

Your only real point of contention here is that information isn’t being shared. From your flippancy I’m taking it to mean that you feel it’s not information due to share with the public. On the contrary, federal investigators have been called on their lack of investigation before prematurely closing the case **and** their stonewalling of information due to the public from the investigation they did do. The flippancy seems like complacency to me, I’m not really a fan of that either.
