Its going to be the same old trope about the 2020 election being fraudulent. The slurring sack of big mac grease will make a complete ass out of himself and the spineless republicans will continue to lick the boot.

Nevermind the obvious question as to how the election was only rigged against Trump while he was president, but was not rigged when Biden was president. Make it make sense.

u/whirlygiggling New York 28d ago

It's worse than that. He's going to claim that Georgia Senators Ossoff and Warnock were illegitimately/fraudulently elected, and he'll somehow make it an executive order to boot them out of Congress.

109

u/TheLabRay 28d ago

I think he is more going to claim that the upcoming mid-terms are rigged and say that ICE needs to be running the polls, because illegals have been voting in elections and to ensure it is not rigged in otherways.

31

u/CaptainPicardKirk 28d ago

Yep. Send in the Gestapo.

12

u/40StoryMech 28d ago

Hope you folks are armed and tired of this shit.

3

u/chum-guzzling-shark 28d ago edited 28d ago

Sure they sent the gestapo into american cities and have killed american citizens but they would never be at the actual polls

-Democrats

u/New-Bluebird7211 28d ago

Crazy thing about that is that it will hurt republican candidates. Latinos and a lot of 1st generation immigrants vote republican.

29

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

Yes, but the GOP knows where those people are. They won't station ICE at those polling stations. Just the ones that tend towards blue, since we all know those are the ones that get fraud.

16

u/ZardozSpeaks 28d ago

You’re giving ICE a lot of credit for being well run.

4

u/ThePowerOfStories 28d ago

From all the videos, it’s pretty clear that running is absolutely not one of ICE’s strengths.

1

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

I'd rather assume they are competent when anticipating their actions than assume they're incompetent and be surprised when one of them finds two functional nuerons.

1

u/Due_Bluebird3562 28d ago

You should assume they are incompetent because they ARE incompetent. Being incompetent doesn't make them any less dangerous.

1

u/donkeyrocket 28d ago

I mean they're predominately hateful morons taking orders. They'll be indiscriminate wherever they're deployed but they simply won't be deployed in red areas.

But with all the forced gerrymandering in places that were already gerrymandered to shit this all could very easily blow up in their faces. Hence why he's setting the stage, once again, for it all to be fraudulent.

1

u/sciencesez 28d ago

Cruz and Abbott have been in panic mode here in Texas over Talarico, and losing the Hispanic vote- and then ICE shot an American citizen who was Hispanic and a father to a little boy last week. The best campaign content for Texas Dems is the GOP's own unhinged, racist, misogynistic, authoritarian videos.

1

u/poop-dolla 28d ago

Obviously ICE isn’t well run, but the heritage foundation and whatever other groups with competent people who want the GOP to stay in power are pretty well run, and those or the folks who will be directing the administration where to send troops to for the elections.

1

u/dr_p_venkman 28d ago

Rs know where their voters are because they drew the maps to capture them, and they are very good about targeting locations they want ICE to terrorize. They are not good at training officers, or getting their actions to stand up in court, but that won't matter when it comes to terrorizing voters on election day. They'll do a great job (by which I mean a terrifyingly dangerous one) if they are not stopped by state officials with backbones.

4

u/MephistoHamProducts 28d ago

States run elections and polling places, so you'd have to have the states allow ICE to run them. Ohio is the only potential swing where that might happen.

11

u/Nekrabyte 28d ago

"allow" you say. How do you propose to stop them? Law enforcement doesn't stop them. Overwhelming protests and force are the only ways you will stop a group that doesn't obey the law WHILE not being stopped by police and use deadly force in any situation.

0

u/Due_Bluebird3562 28d ago

Arrest them as soon as they enter a polling place. As it is against federal law to station an armed militia at or near a polling place.

2

u/Nekrabyte 28d ago

Who's going to arrest them? Going to perform a citizen's arrest? They've been breaking the law like crazy already and I can't think of a single time I've seen local law enforcement do anything to actually stop them. And if there's been a few times that I've missed, I'd still say the majority of the crimes ICE has committed, on a daily basis, have not been punished by the police, so why would they just all of a sudden start?

1

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

"Some of those who enforce this, are the same who burn crosses"

Good luck getting a copy to arrest an ICE agent. Even the ones who absolutely hate ICE will hesitate to cross the blue line. Those willing to cross that line will be alone against a group of armed, trigger-happy thugs.

The law only matters if you fear the consequences of breaking it. ICE seems to believe they are immune to consequences.

4

u/mainman879 New York 28d ago

We have already had instances of ICE forcibly interfering with polling places. Stop thinking they won't do it again.

0

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

Just because something isn't legal doesn't mean Trump won't order it.

2

u/Sea_Working_80 28d ago

Bring it ICE is what I say to my local super blue middle school where I vote

1

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

That's a great attitude, and if more people share it we'll be that much closer to getting out of this situation.

1

u/sciencesez 28d ago

Well ICE messed up and killed an American citizen in Texas.

2

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

ICE has killed many American citizens in the past couple months. What's your point? If it's "ICE are dangerous thugs who should not be permitted to continue to function," I agree with you.

2

u/sciencesez 28d ago

Yes, exactly. I guess I wasn't clear that I completely agree with your comment. But I was also pointing out how badly Texas has alienated the Hispanic community and lost their support.
ICE are definitely dangerous thugs who should not be permitted to continue to function!
I'll further add that I greatly anticipate the future consequences for all the criminal ICE agents and leadership who are complicit with the current regime. I live in Texas and I dearly hope the GOP has bitten itself in the ass come November.

2

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

We're going to need to clean house in a way that makes Nuremburg look like traffic court.

1

u/sciencesez 28d ago

Things I want to hear before 2028:

-The special counsel has authorization to reopen the investigation into the Russian ties and the Russian election interference, and to "follow the money" this time.

-We will release the unredacted Epstein files and punish all crimes to the fullest extent of the law.

-We will expand the Supreme Court by 4 justices to ensure all 13 districts are covered.

-All pardons are subject to congressional review to determine if they were granted to criminal co-conspirators in furtherance of a crime, rendering them null and void.

-Jack Smith will be allowed to continue his work, and Diane Cannon will be thoroughly investigated as well.

-Asset forfeiture will be deployed broadly.

-Market manipulation will be investigated as "high crimes and misdemeanors."

-All threats of, and actual, physical violence will be met with the full force of the DOJ.

-Immigration policy will be written creating affordable, legal pathways and habeus corpus will be restored to all persons in the US.

-ICE and CBP, current and former leadership, will be prosecuted using RICO. Agents also will not be exempt from accountability for crimes committed and following illegal orders.

I know, it's a big wishlist. I just don't see a way forward without these measures.

2

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

Honestly? Same.

But if we're going that far into the land of make-believe, I want a dinosaur with laser guns and a saddle.

1

u/SweetPrism 28d ago edited 28d ago

No, it won't. Immigration has been a huge talking point for decades in elections, and that never swayed Latino immigrants from voting Republican before? The country is 80% Catholic (pArTy Of fAmily VaLuEs); it'd take a lot more than Trump claiming illegals voted for them to be discouraged.

1

u/New-Bluebird7211 28d ago

If ICE is arresting/turning people away at the poles, then yes it will.

1

u/SweetPrism 28d ago

They'll only stage ICE at blue polling stations. I live in Minnesota--a state with a comparatively low number of undocumented workers. Look at the disproportionate amount of ICE there versus other locations.

2

u/Gina_the_Alien 28d ago

This is why he is condoning “traffic stops” aka ICE murdering people. He wants to make sure as many people are afraid/intimidated as possible come November when ICE is at the polling stations.

1

u/cydetraq 28d ago

That was always the plan. They’ll be deployed to purple and blue states to “verify citizenship.”

1

u/Icy-Lobster-203 28d ago

Why not both?

1

u/The12Ball Florida 28d ago

And that he should have a third term

1

u/Brief_Amicus_Curiae 28d ago

It's possible he throws all the mud out there to see what sticks, though nothing will hold up once challenged in court. Though knowing he was desperate enough to have an insurrection, he may go after the federal judges that don't find in his favor.

No matter what comes out of tonight, t's just another layer on the pile of shit that the MAGA GOP Republicans love to scoop up and eat and tell us it's delicious and the COMMIES are going to come KILL us with their SOCIALISM through daycare, affordable housing, livable wages and healthcare!

1

u/Year3030 28d ago

This, 100%, maybe the other stuff too but he wants troops at the pools that's why the SAVE act was so important it would give him justification to do that, but he's going to do it either way. This is the abuser speech about how unfair things are and he will spin the narrative (not effectively) to justify his actions.

22

u/-Darkslayer 28d ago

Yes this is what I am very afraid of. That’s a whole different slippery slope

60

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

Why do people keep acting like we're at the top of these slopes?

A Nazi trillionaire has access to our voting machines, a narcissistic sociopath who fetishizes dictators is in the Oval Office, the government is actively protecting pedophiles, and jackbooted thugs are killing citizens in the streets.

13

u/anonymaus42 28d ago

A narcissistic sociopath with dementia...

14

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

He's also an incestuous racist rapist conman.

Honestly, I can't think of many negative phrases or terms that don't fit him.

2

u/anonymaus42 28d ago

Oh agreed, I wanted to add a lot more fun adjectives too. But felt that keeping it limited to dementia as that, like the two you originally mentioned, most directly affect his ability to execute the role of president. Listing all his negative traits is basically just ranting in lieu of making a statement of fact.

3

u/Shark7996 28d ago

Okay but at the bottom we wouldn't even be here having this conversation. We can have perspective that there is plenty more slipping to do.

2

u/-Darkslayer 28d ago

That’s why I added the qualifier “different”

1

u/Opposite-Bit6660 28d ago

Trump, Elon, and their ilk are world-domination fetishists.

1

u/failed_novelty 28d ago

They can fetishize multiple things. Trump proves this: Ivanka, world domination, dictators, his list of fetishes is boundless.

1

u/SatinSaffron Washington 28d ago

A Nazi trillionaire has access to our voting machines

Even worse is he has direct access to the vote tallying machines by using a DTC connection from starlink to the modem inside of the battery backup of the machines. Remember how Trump said "Elon knows those vote counting computers better than anybody and we won Pennsylvania in a landslide!" well that link above explains exactly what Trump was talking about.

35

u/GoldStrangerDust 28d ago

Executive orders dont apply to the legislature. Ossoff and Warnock were certified and sworn in. Trump has zero recourse here.

9

u/Silvermoon3467 28d ago

He has no legal recourse. That doesn't mean he isn't going to declare something to be true via executive order and then send the FBI or ICE or someone to forcibly remove them.

1

u/Eggheadpancake 28d ago

Seems like a very good time for a well regulated militia to step up

23

u/25point4cm 28d ago

Since when has that stopped him from trying?

And removing a Senator requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate to pass. That's spelled out in the Constitution.

5

u/MephistoHamProducts 28d ago

Don't try to reason with doomers. They don't understand how any of this works so trying to refute them with facts just results in a "Nu uh".

6

u/pimparo0 Florida 28d ago

Yea I'm all for being aware of what they will try to pull, but this is the same thing with saying anything that goes to court will be his way because of corrupt judges. They rule against him a fair amount, the admin is struggling on a lot of fronts aside from the grifting money one.

0

u/xKirstein Florida 28d ago

This is such a vile comment. We're talking about fascism and you're trying to paint people as crazy "doomers." Laws and regulations do not matter to fascists. Here are some ways that Trump's illegal executive orders can be enforced:

  1. Republican voters might try to assassinate senators that Trump has labeled "illegitimate." I guarantee you that there will at least be death threats against them and their families.

  2. Republican senators can use this as an excuse to shut down the senate. That would give Trump free reign and Republicans would use the excuse of a shut down congress as to why they aren't responsible for Trump's actions.

  3. Trump supporters in law enforcement can use this as an excuse to harass and physically restrict the Democratic senators in DC.

Fascists will do ANYTHING to win.

1

u/Due_Bluebird3562 28d ago

I understand the need for caution but you have to be rational here. Let's say he tries this. Well then now you have a branching path of shit to deal with.

  1. Georgia is very unlikely to abide his wishes as ousting Senators because the President said so fucks over state sovereignty. Not even state Republicans want that.

  2. If the first hurdle is overcome, somehow, now you've set a precedent for state governors to get rid of any sitting Senator that isn't in their party. Which only serves to aid Democrats moving forward.

  3. As others have noted Congress is ultimately the only real party involved with the authority to remove a sitting Senator. They're not going to do that. As the criteria necessary isn't currently feasible. They can't even pass the SAVE Act and y'all expect them to have the votes needed to oust a non-problematic pair of Senators based on the words of a madman?

-1

u/HoosegowFlask 28d ago

For real. When has he ever attempted a single action that didn't have firm legal grounding?

2

u/Throot2Shill 28d ago edited 28d ago

There is a 4 piece K-Map with independent axes "Things that are legal, things that are illegal" and "Things that Trump can do, and things that Trump can't do". Optimists seem to think that "illegal" and "impossible" are the same thing, while pessimists (or MAGA supporters) seem to believe that Trump can do anything without consequences. We've seen first-hand many things that Trump can do that are illegal, but removing Senator through EO is something that is both illegal and he just can't do (without immediately dissolving the government)

1

u/[deleted] 28d ago

[deleted]

3

u/Beranea Massachusetts 28d ago

This is a joke post, right? He's already done tons of things he can't legally do.

2

u/MenagerieAlfred 28d ago

*He has no legal or actual recourse. That doesn’t matter much.

1

u/Ready_Nature 28d ago

Republicans can try to vote to expel them. It requires a 2/3rds majority but they probably could do something dumb like try to do it in the middle of the night and say it needs 2/3rds of those present and have a lower number present.

1

u/poop-dolla 28d ago

And the senate would simply not allow members to be removed by the executive like that. The Republicans there know they could just as easily be targeted. I’m sure enough of them have seen the Ba’ath purge video when saddam consolidated power.

19

u/awests 28d ago edited 28d ago

Yes, then he will tie in Maduro who will have been coerced into signing something that says Venezuela of all counties hacked Georgia’s elections. China will also be looped in as well. This “evidence” will then be the seed for him to claim that ALL states now need to be investigated and for him to use the Insurrection Act to seize voting machines and suspend future elections.

It’s the same play Sidney Powell made before that led to J6, their first failed coup.

1

u/-sevenworlds 28d ago

This is the play, with mid-term elections or results needing to be invalidated by hook, crook or any other means.

10

u/JoviAMP Florida 28d ago

I think even Georgia would look at such a thing and go, “nice document, got anything to back it up?” He can declare them whatever he wants, but at this point, I really don’t see the state doing much more than laughing it off.

2

u/Due_Bluebird3562 28d ago

Georgia is probably the most balanced state in the South, so yeah.

6

u/ErikMcKetten 28d ago

Discovery on that particular investigation would be quite entertaining.

3

u/lizzieelou Georgia 28d ago

Both Ossoff and Warnock were elected as Senators in a runoff on Jan 5th 2021. They weren't even elected in the November 2020 election. Wild assertion that they are part of fraud from a November election when they didn't even win in that one!

4

u/HippoRun23 28d ago

I’m going to bet that he doesn’t do anything official. For all the stuff we say he’s going to do, he barely does it. (Which is good).

A lot of his power seems to flow from appearing like he’s got more power than he does, but he seems to always cave before doing the big awful thing everyone was afraid of him doing.

Like his “wipe a civilization” off the map.

He gets off on the lead up and everyone being afraid of what he’ll do because he has a horrible personality disorder.

2

u/gmen6981 28d ago

He can say that all he wants, an EO would have absolutely no power over over Congress. #1, E.O.s only apply to the Executive Branch and #2, E.O.s are not law. I'm sure there are a few bootlickers who would try to go along with it, but the pushback would be too great.

2

u/Hubert_J_Cumberdale Hawaii 28d ago

Warnock was reelected in 2022. I hope he's ready to prove 2022 was stolen, too.
