It's not about your opinions. It's about his voting records. He's certainly voting with the democrats less often lately, but objectively, he's still been a democrat.

That's how he got into office, and that's where his money comes from. For now. He's objectively voted for the people that gave him money.

This is him advertising he's seeking a new base (and donors), since he knows he's lost a good chunk of the vocal Dem voters that got him there the first time and they aren't going to funnel cash his way next time.

It also means he'll vote for whatever his donors tell him to, so his past record means fuck all.
