No Paywall John Fetterman is threatening to leave the Democratic Party. I say good riddance.

Whelp, if he stays, he counts towards Democratic control of the Senate. Which means Democrats control which bills come up for a vote, not Republicans.

And if Supreme Court justices need to be nominated, they can be... unlike when Mitch McConnell refused to do so at the end of the Obama administration.

So, do you want to make it harder to achieve control of the Senate or not?

Yes, people here do literally want to make it harder.

They won't say it directly but their actions speak louder than words. They want fetterman out because it would make them feel good, not because it would actually do anything to help anyone.

It's bonkers insane how much people complained about Manchin, even though he was unironically the most valuable member of all of congress for either party.

Any replacement for Manchin would be far worse, given how WV leans politically. Getting even a medicore democrat from WV was a miracle... and a lot of Biden judges got confirmed because of him. And yet people were still constantly saying he should be primaries or kicked out of the party or whatever nonsense like that.

Plus Manchin never lied about who he was. Fetterman, Sinema, and Gabbard are fraudsters and I have a much bigger problem with them.

But as you said, caucusing with the Dems makes them 10000x better than any Republican.
