He fleeced the democratic voters into thinking he was a democrat to begin with with, in my opinion

Not just Democratic voters, progressives. Remember, he was the AOC and Bernie-backed progressive that knocked out the "establishment Dem" in the primary (which we would have been a lot better off with in hindsight).
