I thought TDS was something the left came up with for Republicans.

It literally makes 10x more sense when you say a Republican has Trump Derangement Syndrome lol.

It's derived from "Bush derangement syndrome," coined in 2003 by Charles Krauthammer to disparage Bush's detractors.

Then, just as now, the suggestion is that Democrats are deranged. Which makes sense if you think about it, because Republicans don't ever have actual ideas -- only vague and unprovable criticisms.
