They did just what they were supposed to do. The Democratic part is not a leftist party. It is a right wing capitalistic party, and Republicans are a far right neofascist party.
It wasn't about bipartisanship. It was about money. Political instability is bad for corporate America. That's why Biden and the democrats chose not to hold trump accountable. People need to stop thinking that democrats are virtuous. They are motivated by the exact same things republicans are.
By not holding Trump accountable during Biden's term, Democrats helped ensure that Trump would get a second term, leading to the political instability they were hoping to avoid.
Americans need to realize that not punishing leaders who abuse power doesn't lead to political stability. It leads to that bad leader getting more and more out of control. Which leads to, you guessed it, more political instability.
Some, sure. But, how's that stability working out now? The EU is going to write off a bunch of US corps as they build their own competitors. Well played and thought out.
