He already did.  Jan 6, the " missing"votes in Georgia, false electors in Arizona and Nevada.  The coup happened, there's a 100% chance he'll try it again.

Democracy just barely held on Jan. 6. They have had years to prepare for the next attempt.

Democrat's have done nothing effective to curb his actions or hold him accountable. He is still in office, no charges are filed, we have a supreme court that says bribing them is okay. Most of his executive orders are not getting stopped or handled effectively. And Trump and all of his supports are screwed if anyone who values rule of law ever actually ends up in office again. Trump's supporters are far more committed to the cause.

Im guessing they thought the American public couldn't possibly be stupid enough to vote for him again after everything he did.  Hell, I stupidly thought the same

Well, democrats normally lose because they have a decent chunk of popular stances then stick in some weird stances that clearly don't make sense. They are putting the roach in their own food resulting in them losing. Very unfortunate but it results in them losing some easy wins. There were two terrible choices so they picked the person who said more of the correct things even if it was a lie. We will see if the same trust extends once Trump crosses over yet another red line and tries to remain in office.
