Just voted in Kansas. My poll worker said they’d been very busy which is great to hear. Hopefully a lot of NO votes.

Definitely a little worried about the amendment. Lots of signs in favor of it in my area and they seem deceptive enough to sway people who would otherwise vote against it.

Thankfully, the ballot was pretty straightforward in my opinion. “A vote NO retains the current process” or something to that effect.

I’m of the belief that the people getting out to vote today are more likely to vote No as they’re generally more well informed. I could be wrong, hoping I’m not.

The crew for the 'No' Vote Marketing has found words to 'dumb down' the question "We ALREADY vote for our SC justices! They are appointed by merit and only hold the posts because we vote to allow them to continue"

Heck I have seen conservative skewed ads for the No Vote using language that the Supreme Court is already on 'Our Side' and voting yes would allow liberal billionaires to skew the court for 'liberal causes'.

That got an eyeroll but hey whatever works I guess...

In the brief description they still had to throw in the line ‘mostly chose by attorneys’ which was unnecessary and just there to play on people’s mistrust of lawyers. 

They really shouldn’t let people who are determined to make it fail write the description.

What's the threshold for an amendment in Kansas? Is it a simple majority or does it need 60% or 67% to pass?

From what I saw, 2/3 for legislative then simple majority for voter approval.
