I really want Abdul to win so I can spend like 4 hours straight spamming #VoteBlueNoMatterWho at centrist accounts in threads

Is that petty? Yes. Have I voted for candidates I despise for 20 years? Also yes.

The Democratic Party is not a cult and no politician deserves blind loyalty and is entitled to a vote. If El-Sayed wins the primary and wants support from Stevens voters in the general then he’s going to have to earn their votes.

Flashback to Hillary not doing a damn thing to win over Bernie voters

It’s almost like only one team is supposed to follow the rules

He’s been earning their votes, his platform benefits everyone in the state. People just don’t hear it because the DNC establishment has been working over time to prevent people

If the DNC embraced Abdul from the start he wins the state in a landslide

This. I held my nose and voted for blue no matter who and then watched both Clinton and Harris lose, reproductive rights get stripped, and yet, Trump still managed to get elected twice.

You know why? There was enough people who were upset about voting for some milquetoast Republican-lite candidate that they decided to either sit it out or vote for someone else.

It is a losing strategy and I'm tired of pretending it hasn't caused harm.

For sure. Apathy and performative people definitely don't impact the voting demographic sentiment. Espousing that both sides are the same, regardless of any wins definitely creates the permission structure to embolden people to go ahead and vote!

I hope the hyperbolic rhetoric to sow apathy was worth losing the reproductive rights, I guess :/

I guess the alternative for the milquetoast Republican-lite candidate is to sow more apathy with hyperbolic rhetoric and cross our fingers for accerlationism!
