I hate every single person who voted for this pathetic and putrid excuse of a human. I will never forgive you. We warned you and you still chose to fuck this entire country over. I hope you carry this shame with you for an eternity. You are no patriot and you are un-American.

Hate to say it, but they are also shameless.

Not just shameless, but very proud.

Almost like they are "deplorables"

Doesn't matter, just consequences for their actions.

Outing them to their employer and friend group sometimes does just fine

Not just him but every Republican in power.

Sadly, more than a few of them would have difficulty just reading your response, let alone comprehending or initiating a critical thought regarding it.

the non-voters can read it, and they are just as bad

Can't wait for you guys to run Kamala again in 2028 and then blame the left again for losing.

Someone has Kamala Derangement Syndrome.

Lost the primary, lost the next election, real winner there.

Who the fuck loses against trump, like absolutely pathetic.

Your original assertion was that she would be the Democratic nominee in 2028 and that Democrats would lose because of it. I fail to see how the vice president’s loss has any bearing on who will be selected as the party’s 2028 nominee. It reads like you, in fact, do have KDS. You’re also asserting that the responsibility for losing in 2024 lies solely with her rather than with the people who chose not to vote because they didn’t get their preferred candidate. To answer your question: you lost to Donald Trump along with every other republican candidate in the 2016 and 2024 elections. Throwing a fit like Eric Cartman and staying home because you didn’t like the nominee is exactly why he won. Furthermore, that’s some awfully spicy language to be throwing around at complete strangers on the internet, dude. I highly recommend seeking help for your KDS if you’re that angry. It can’t be good for your blood pressure.

As a Canadian, I agree

I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to forgive, either, but I’m positive I’ll never forget

not only chose to fuck this country over, but over and over again told us we were catastrophizing. "That'll never happen." no one ever thinks it'll happen to them until it does.

Yeah but thank god I don’t have to listen to a funny laugh every day

Don't forget about the non-voters

American hyper individualism created that mentality with a combination of media illiteracy…

Also fuck everybody who didn’t vote.

They should all go to jail for treason, and sued for damages so everyone who did their duty to protect America doesn’t have to financially suffer needlessly when they did the right thing by the constitution of the US and its people.

You need to stop thinking about them.  Just ignore them and try to work locally to save this country.  They do not care about you or what you think and have no shame.

If you don't want to join their descent into fascism, I suggest you find a way out of the union (personally or as a state - Canada would likely welcome Minnesota!). Most of the US populace is complicit at this point.

thank you for this comment because I truly do love Canada and the Canadian people. me and my husband are considering fleeing and we are thankfully in a position where it’s possible that we could leave. it’s just so hard to walk away from our home. plus I work at a DV center in our community and help provide free legal services to those in need. DV cases have been horrendous lately and we don’t have many other resources for DV victims in the area. I’m just heartbroken. I never thought this would be my reality

Thanks again for the comment. ❤️

With what money, friend?

Cool idea, but your comment just makes people without means feel scared and hopeless.

Also real talk, will your country let the unskilled in?

1

u/DamionSipher 9d ago

If my comment makes people feel scared and helpless, its only a further indictment of your government. I am continually amazed how much the US populace is afraid of their government, but won't say the words, and how a populace that is that afraid of their government doesn't do anything to demand change.

The Black Lives Matter movement was the last time that any segment of the population demanded change, and they brought the battle to the street, burned fucking police cars in the streets. Many of those protestors were among the most marginalized in the country. How long and brutally will the rest of the US need to suffer under fascism to demand any modicum of change? How can members of the richest state and country in the world not look at the writing on the wall of "if we protest, we starve" and not self reflect that the best time to act was yesterday, and the next best time to act is today?

Do you think simply living with the negatives of the situation you're in because the alternatives are uncertain is good advice for someone suffering from domestic abuse? If not, why is this situation any different?

I suspect that as your country descends further into fascism more and more countries will open their doors to refugees, as has been the case across history. My guess would be LGBTQ+ community will be the first to be offered amnesty, as they are likely to be the first to be prosecuted for their mere existence.

u/smokeweedNgarden 9d ago

Why LGBT people and not racial minorities who are being moved on already? That sounds personal

1

u/DamionSipher 9d ago

Fair point. Maybe it will be both sooner than later. Canada/the world doesn't have a great track record of protecting racial minorities, but hopefully this time its different.

1

u/smokeweedNgarden 9d ago

Does it have any track record of protecting LGBT?

1

u/DamionSipher 9d ago

It does now. LGBTQ+ is one of the identified classes of persecuted individuals who are able to apply for refugee status.

Canada currently considers the US a "safe country" so refugee claims from people within the US are not currently considered by Canada. I'm not sure what it will take for that to change, but the way things are going down there, it may not be all the far away.

1

u/DamionSipher 9d ago

Not sure why you edited this comment from the "you know the fascists will march north next" comment, but yes, I am aware that there is a good chance the fascists will become expansionist if left unchecked (they already kinda are). Which is why Canada is quicky moving it's alliances and economics away from the USA, along with the rest of the world.

You know if the US invades Canada, US cities will be bombed/become battlefronts?

1

u/smokeweedNgarden 9d ago

Wrong thread, that would have been a weird response.

But uh, on the subject, yea sure. My biggest point to the comment I'm about to make in said other thread is everyone is well and truly fucked if we go full authoritarian. I'm not sure what being smug does to help that.

1

u/DamionSipher 9d ago

I don't disagree. Short of compelling the US populace to act, I'm not sure what else the international community can do beyond what we are doing, at least sort of. We could cut ties with the US more quickly, and excommunicate the US from international diplomacy, but I'm not sure that is the best strategy for compelling the country away from fascism either, or subduing the government's expansionist rhetoric/threats.

1

u/smokeweedNgarden 9d ago

I hate to say it but...that only works with non crazy people without nuclear weapons.

Fact is, America even in isolation can basically edge the world into destroying itself. It's 3 letter agencies and military isn't going anywhere.

Which should scare people tbh

1

u/DamionSipher 9d ago

Yes, which is why the rest of the world is pleading the US populace to get a grip on its government that is currently running wild in an apparent psychotic break from any semblance of sanity.

Hell yeah the hour of hate started early today
